is it true that blue lake has alligators?
my sister is scared to go just a little bit passed the rope at blue lake
because she thinks there is alligators in the water and we keep telling
her that if god wonted her to die shed die if he didn't then the alligator
could bite her and kill her but god would bring her back but shes still scared and i wont to prove to her that the alligators (there for if there are any alligators in blue lake)are not going to hurt her
Can we get an idea of where you're talking about?
Alligators are native from Florida north to coastal North Carolina, west to eastern Texas and north again to southeastern Oklahoma... you could simply do a search on "alligator range" and see if you live in an area where alligators live, if you don't, it's highly unlikely that there is an alligator in the lake... if you do live within the native range of alligators, depending on ~where~ you live, it may still be a rarity to find an alligator in your area.
As for attacks, here in Florida, we've had 26 human fatalities from alligators in the past 50 years. Dogs kill more people than this ~every year~ in our state. By nature, alligators are scared of people (they judge size the same way we do... vertically... I don't care how big the alligator is, if you're standing up, you're bigger than it is). 95% of alligator attacks in Florida link back to the animal being fed... they begin to associate people with food, and although they are pretty smart for having tiny little primitive brains, they're not smart enough to recognize the specific people who feed them... after a while it doesn't matter if you've got food for them or not, they'll try to take it if you don't offer it.
